A new Christ the King ministry  for children will begin this fall! Friday Enrichment & Godly Play will be led by Jill Higey, Jennifer Downey, and Erin Caldwell. Learn more at www.fridayenrichment.org.

Enrollment is now open to children ages 3 years to 2nd grade for the 2013-2014 school year.

What is Friday Enrichment and Godly Play?

Three weeks out of the each month, the Friday session will be spent in Godly Play, which is a program of Christian Education based on the Montessori Educational philosophy. For more information, visit:www.godlyplayfoundation.org

The fourth Friday will be instructional and investigative time led by experts in one of these four areas: Nature, Art, Music, and Hands-on Science.

Godly Play is based upon the recognition that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. All they lack is the appropriate language to help them identify and express it so it can be explored and strengthened. The Godly Play approach teaches classical Christian language in a way that enhances the child’s authentic experience of God so it can contribute to the creative life of the child and the world.

The goal of Friday Enrichment and Godly Play is to provide an opportunity for area families and children to participate in the Godly Play program and also as a supplement to:

•Home-educated children

•Dominion Academy Prep-School Curriculum

•Children in other public or private schools who can attend

Academyʼs school calendar.
