Dear church family,
Here are several refugee family needs. If you can help with any of these, please contact me (Barb 878-9826, baharvey), and thank you!
1. A new family from Burundi is in desperate need of clothing. There are other needs as well, and I will be meeting with them tomorrow to assess, but meanwhile… I need someone with a van who would be willing to take the family to the Christian Life Center on Little York Rd. on Saturday morning around 10 AM so they can find clothing at the charity ministry there. Family of 7. They speak English.
2. I am looking for a someone who would be willing to help pick up a dryer for another family. The dryer is on Wadsworth near Needmore & I-75. The family lives in Belmont. Next Tuesday morning is a target time to make the pick up, but we can be flexible.
3. I still need about 20 clean, dry containers and fine-bristled paint brushes to distribute Diatomaceous Earth. I haven’t had any offers. Can you help?
4. There is another new family who is in need of clothing.
Here are their measurements:
Innocent (Dad) 6’1"; shoulder 21"; waist 39"; shoe size 9 He is leggy & lean so a long inseam would be good.
Esther (Mom) 5’4"; 14" shoulders; She is pregnant, but petite & slender. Shoe size 7 or 7½
Patrick, 11 yrs, 4’6"; 14" shoulder, very slender (size 10 or 12?)
Moses 7 yrs. 4′ tall; 12" shoulder, very slender (size 7?)
Shoe sizes for Patrick & Moses: I’m not sure, but since they are growing fast, a selection between sizes 3 & 7 would probably work. The same goes for clothing for the kids.
Luci, 19 mos – typical, still has a little baby chub going. I’m sure the family would appreciate diapers & wipes as well.
As always, I appreciate all that so many of you have done to help our neighbors! 🙂
