Many of you know my former husband, Ron. This week he was diagnosed with lung cancer, which has spread extensively. There is serious liver involvement. He is currently at Doctors’ Hospital West in Columbus. He will get the first dose of chemotherapy today and will have be having a brain scan. If there lesions in the brain he will also have radiation therapy.
This has come about very suddenly. He went to his doctor on Monday, was hospitalized, and on Tuesday morning was told he has cancer. He has had a persistent cough and has not felt well since December. The type of cancer is small cell carcinoma which grows very fast. It was initially thought to be gall bladder cancer because of the appearance of the GB on the CT scan.
Ron, his wife Patty, and I are on good terms. They have good support from their church family in Columbus.
I am so grateful for all of you, and the support, love, and prayers you have offered on behalf of my family in recent months. May our family come to a deeper, abiding faith as we walk this journey together. May the Lord bless us and keep us, may He make His face shine upon us and be gracious unto us. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us and give us peace.
